At Plaspy, we are constantly working to ensure a high-quality, reliable, and sustainable service for all our users. As part of this commitment, we have updated our policies regarding the use of alerts and geofences on the platform.
Until now, devices had access to unlimited email alerts and geofences. However, after reviewing the behavior of several accounts, we have identified excessive use of these features, which has led to negative consequences—such as our emails being classified as spam by email providers and unnecessary system overload.
For this reason, we have decided to establish reasonable limits on both email alerts and the number of geofences per device, in order to ensure operational efficiency and a positive experience for all users.
New Conditions:
- We have also detected excessive use of geofences on certain devices. Therefore, a reasonable limit will be set on the number of geofences per device to maintain optimal platform performance.
- All devices will have a reasonable monthly limit on email alerts, as well as a maximum number of alerts and geofences allowed per device.
- Users on the Professional plan will have limits five times higher than those on the Standard or Free plans.
- Email sending limits do not apply if the user configures their own SMTP server for sending alerts.
Recommendations:
- Use email only for truly important alerts, such as speeding, engine shutdown, or entering critical zones.
- For secondary or high-volume alerts, we recommend using push notifications available in the mobile app.
- All alerts can be reviewed in the Plaspy statistics section, where you can filter them, view them on screen, or download them in Excel format for further analysis.
- An alternative to increase your usage capacity is to upgrade your subscription plan to one with higher limits, such as the Professional plan.
